KING ABDULLAH II AWARD FOR YOUTH INNOVATION AND ACHIEVEMENT (KAAYIA) - 2009

The King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement was launched in 2007 to promote social innovation and encourage cross-border dialogue and cooperation among Arab youth.

Grant of 50,000 USD

We were chosen along with 9 other finalists among 2000 participants from 19 different Arab countries, each presenting a different project.

Thanks to the KAAYIA award we were able to move to our own office, create a website for the organization, design flyers, banners and brochures to boost our awareness stands and provide our operators with a well deserved living allowance.

LEBANON WEB AWARD - 2009

In November 2009 DSC participated in the Lebanon Web Awards, which is part of the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy. The website of the association was chosen to win the 'Strategic Non-Governmental Organization Portal Award' among a number of other Lebanese NGOs.
Thanks to this encouraging award, we were able to gain a very much-necessary exposure in order to spread the word about DSC and raise more awareness about the cause that we work towards improving.In November 2009 DSC participated in the Lebanon Web Awards, which is part of the Pan Arab Web Awards Academy. SYNERGOS ARAB WORLD SOCIAL INNOVATORS PROGRAM - 2011

Synergos is a non-profit-making organization, with a mission is to reduce global poverty through "inclusive partnerships”, bringing together government, business, civil society and local communities.

Grant of 25,000 USD

In March 2011, DSC was chosen along with 14 other finalists among 200 participants each presenting a different project to be part of the Arab World Social Innovators Program. Synergos launched this program in 2007 as a three-year initiative created to identify and support social innovators. This program is an investment in our mission through professional development and financial support to better enable us to transform our small-scale project into a sustainable organization.

COMMUNITY SERVICE HONORY AWARD - 2012

During the 20th congress for the Lebanese Order of Pharmacist, Yorgui Teyrouz received an award for his achievements with the blood donation NGO Donner Sang Compter

JOINING THE IFBDO - 2013

On April the 17th 2013, the NGO joined the International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations (IFBDO) making Lebanon, through DSC, the 72nd country to join this international movement

BEIRUT SOCIAL MEDIA AWARD - 2013

On Monday, April the 30th, the first edition of the Social Media Awards (SMAs) took place at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut.
Among the 32 categories, DSC was nominated for two and got to win the 2013 "Best NGO/Organization on Twitter” award.

THE LEBANESE AMERICAN UNIVERSITY ALUMNI RECOGNITION AWARD - 2013

The Lebanese American University and its Alumni Association decided to grant the Alumni Recognition Award to Yorgui Teyrouz for his work in the blood donation cause

SPINNEYS ANNUAL NGO AWARD - 2014

Each year, Spinneys organizes a ceremony to honor the associations which cooperated with it in the social, educational and environmental activities and helped shed the light about the importance of these topics in our daily lives. In 2014 on November 20th, DSCLebanon was one of the Lebanese associations that were awarded the Spinneys Annual NGOs award.

NATIONAL VOLUNTEERING SERVICE PROGRAM (NVSP) - 2015

In June 2015, DSCLebanon won a small grant of 30,000$ from the National Volunteers Service Program (NVSP) through the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) for the community service and social integration that the volunteers demonstrated throughout the year.
