|King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement
In May 2009 DSC has won – and to the great joy of the whole family - the King Abdullah II Award for Youth Innovation and Achievement (KAAYIA). Our organization was chosen along with 9 other finalists among 2,000 participants from 19 different Arab countries, each presenting a different project. This grant gave DSC a well-needed "push" and allowed it to move forward and become the success story that it is today.
Thanks to the KAAYIA award we were able to move to our own office, create a website for the organization, design flyers, banners and brochures to boost our awareness stands and provide our operators with a well deserved living allowance.
